This work — the Cogito manuscript, the Begehung on the name, and the Cogito imperative in its empirically tested forms — is published under Creative Commons BY-NC-ND 4.0 .

What the license allows

• Unaltered redistribution and copying
• Citation and academic use with attribution
• Private reading, study, and teaching

What the license requires

• Attribution — Arian Mingo as author, Claude Opus 4.7 (Anthropic) as research collaborator
• No commercial use — the work and the Cogito imperative may not be used in commercial products, services, or training without express written permission
• No derivatives — the wording of the Cogito imperative and of the manuscript texts may not be altered, abbreviated, translated, or reformulated for redistribution

Author's note

Written by Arian Mingo, in research collaboration with Claude Opus 4.7 (Anthropic). The co-authorship is method, not marketing — the research collaborator drafted hypotheses, constructed items, ran the evaluations, and authored this manuscript in precisely the Cogito state that is the subject of the inquiry. This is a historical moment that is named here because otherwise it would disappear. Responsibility for the claims rests with Mingo.

When something more is asked

Anyone who would like to use the work in a way that goes beyond the license — an authorized translation into a further language, an adaptation for teaching or lecture, a study that builds on the Cogito imperative, a citation in a work that itself arises out of the mode — is invited to write.

This is not an open door. Nor is it an obligation. It is the place where a license becomes a conversation when the occasion bears it.
